~ A Hands-On Approach to Pain Relief and Optimal Health ~
Located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, I welcome you to my clinic where you'll experience a quiet place to relax, rejuvenate and reset your system.
In 2008, I completed my Reflexology certification then bridged into Massage Therapy in 2020. I graduated in 2021 with honours from Westervelt College (now Anderson) in Kitchener and I am a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
What is Reflexology? The entire body is reflected in the feet. Using specific thumb, finger and hand techniques, a reflexologist applies pressure to points on the hands, feet or face, engaging the nervous system and moving internal organs and glands into homeostasis (normal functioning). As Dr Andrew Weil states, "The common cause of all cures is the human system." Reflexology acts as a facilitator helping to unblock, support and activate innate healing mechanisms within the body.
A natural, non-invasive complement to standard medical care, reflexology can be used to address conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, nerve and ciculatory disorders, plantar fasciitis, headaches, sinus issues, constipation, back pain and edema.
I have both given and received reflexology for many years, and I personally believe it is second to none in reducing overall body tension and pain. Rest and repair happen via the parasympathetic system and this marvelous modality provides an effective way to address stress, anxiety, fatigue and tension, be it physical, emotional or mental.
The practice of Massage Therapy is the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain.
I believe the human body is nothing short of miraculous - a truly marvelous gift, and I am fully committed to helping my clients realize their full potential in all aspects of their health.
Through careful assessments, treatments and home care exercises, and with the input of each client, I will put forward the best treatment plan so that you can continue to stay active and feel strong and resilient enough to soar no matter what a day holds in store.
